LOOKING TO DRIVE IT LONGER?
Before you consider purchasing a new driver to give you that additional length you so desperately want remember this: There are two very key ingredients necessary to hitting a golf ball further. a) striking the golf ball properly at the moment of truth - proper impact! b) clubhead speed! This cannot be argued! Always work on swinging the club at a rate of speed that allows you to make the best contact. In other words sometimes swinging smoother will allow for better contact, thus more distance! Thus, developing good technique is paramount for increasing distance. Most amateurs do not use a driver with enough loft and often times golfers with very slow swing speeds will often hit a 3 wood as far as a driver but with much better control. I see amateurs often thinking a longer shaft will produce more distance. This is true, however the longer club requires better timing! Again, so if it's more difficult to make good contact with a longer club you will not gain any more distance and will probably have less control of your ball flight!
